We are seeking a dedicated Shift Lead(non-supervisory)to oversee the comprehensive waste management program at a local
manufacturingfacility.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and compliant collection, transportation, consolidation, and storage of hazardous, non-hazardous, universal, and non-regulated waste across the site. This role does not include direct reports. Starting Pay: $22.25/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday,2nd Shift: 4:30PM - 1:00 AM Responsibilities: Waste Collection and Transportation: Perform site-wide collection, transportation, consolidation, and storage of hazardous, non-hazardous, universal, and non-regulated waste. Provide on-call pickup and transport services for waste generated on-site.
Compliance Management: Ensure waste containers and labeling are accurate and compliant with RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Handle and store waste in a manner and timeframe that meets all regulatory requirements. Prepare documentation for all waste shipments covered under this Agreement.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by offering new and/or empty containers to waste generators for continued accumulation as needed.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local regulations related to waste management. Implement and enforce waste management policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards. Coordinate disposal and manage recovery service scheduling for all by-products.
Scheduling and Communication: Schedule waste and empty container shipments efficiently. Formally communicate all scheduled activities to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications: High school diploma Previous experience in waste management or related field. Knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
