Technology is constantly changing, and our adversaries are digitally exceeding law enforcement’s ability to keep pace. Those charged with protecting the United States are not always able to access the evidence needed to prosecute crime and prevent terrorism. The Government trusts Peraton to provide the technical ability, tools, and resources to bring criminals to justice. In response to this challenge, Peraton is seeking a Data Architect who can leverage experience and expertise in data exploration, engineering, and ETL to explore, architect, develop, and deploy scripts for processing structured and unstructured data into usable data formats for long-term storage, search, and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Experience working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, including data parsing, transformation, schema definition, and query/analysis.
  • Ability to manage and organize data while identifying trends and inconsistencies impacting downstream analytics.
  • Experience with data pipelines or willingness to learn pipeline development from bottom to top.
  • Ability to troubleshoot files within an architecture to identify upload failures and improve data ingestion processes.
  • Ability to understand and contribute to unit tests to enhance pipeline stability.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph.
  • Minimum of 7 years with an Associate's degree or equivalent, 5 years with a Bachelor's degree, 3 years with a Master's degree; additional years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with programming and software development on large-scale, multi-tier/full-stack enterprise applications.
  • Experience working with data platforms on AWS, including S3, RDS, and Postgres.
  • Experience designing and implementing data ingestion and analytics pipelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including reading comprehension, correspondence writing, and demo presentations.
  • Development knowledge of web-based UI frameworks (React, AngularJS, Bootstrap, Struts, Spring MVC, etc.).
  • Experience working in an analytic sandbox environment.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This range is based on experience and other factors.
