Senior Business Analyst

Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to identify test cases for automation from existing test case documentation.

This position is onsite in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Identify test cases for automation from existing test cases.
• Create, enhance, debug, and execute test cases.
• Organize and monitor the defect management process.
• Create test designs, processes, cases, and data.
• Participate in walkthroughs of testing procedures.
• Prepare reports related to software testing.
• Ensure all testing work adheres to standards and procedures, following quality practices for code delivery.
• Analyze requirements thoroughly to identify test cases and develop scripts.
• Recommend innovations to streamline application delivery using knowledge of testing tools and trends.
• Represent the team in interdepartmental meetings and interact with customers as needed.
• Supervise testing activities and identify team members needing additional training.
• Plan testing activities and estimate testing efforts.
• Continuously improve testing processes using metrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in business reengineering or strategic initiatives, consulting or industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• At least five years of experience implementing ITIL best practices at the operational level and experience with business process reengineering (incident, problem, change, release, and configuration management).
• At least one year of experience with Microsoft 365.
• Minimum three years of leading requirements discovery and management.
• At least four years of lifecycle documentation experience.
• Four or more years of experience with the following technologies:
• Active Directory, Okta, Entra AD
• C, C++, Perl, Python, UNIX (RedHat, Ubuntu), Apache
• DB2, Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server
• HTML, XML, XSLT
• Microsoft PowerBI, Azure PowerPlatform
• GitLab, GitHub, AzureDevOps
• Java (J2EE), JavaScript
• .NET framework including VB.Net, ASP.Net, ADO.Net, VBA
• Erwin, WebLogic, Tuxedo, Data Warehouse
• AWS (S3, EC2, etc.), Azure, Okta, ServiceNow, WorkDay, Coupa
• Terraform, R/RStudio, Power Automate
