Join our dynamic team at Industrial Technology Research Institute as an AI Application R&D Engineer ! You'll drive innovation by researching and developing advanced AI technologies, implementing intelligent solutions, and collaborating with experts to deliver impactful products.

This role is based in Hsinchu, Taiwan.

We are open to international candidates and offer relocation assistance, including work permit application.

(Key Responsibilities)

• Research and develop core AI technologies, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, transfer learning, diffusion models, and model optimization.
• Build and deploy advanced AI models, such as multimodal large language models (LLMs), vision-language models (VLMs), and time-series foundation models.
• Design and implement prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agentic AI solutions.
• Manage data processing, data synthesis, and the creation of evaluation datasets.
• Program using PyTorch, Python, C++, and C.
• Leverage the Hugging Face ecosystem (Transformers, PEFT, Datasets, Tokenizers) and open-source frameworks (Llama-Factory, LangChain, Llamalndex, vLLM).
• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate AI solutions into real-world applications.

(What We’re Looking For)

• A solid foundation in AI and machine learning concepts.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying AI applications.
• Strong programming skills in PyTorch, Python, C++, and C.
• Experience with Hugging Face tools and relevant open-source AI frameworks.
• Proficiency in data processing and dataset management.

(Nice to Have)

• Experience with cross-domain AI projects or productization.
• Familiarity with large language models or multimodal AI system integration.
