Our client, a midsized firm with a premier real estate litigation practice in New York City, is seeking a Landlord-Tenant Litigation Associate with 4 to 7 years of experience to join a dynamic, fast-moving practice handling sophisticated commercial disputes. This role offers a rare opportunity to work directly with a senior partner known for successfully representing institutional landlords and owners of Class “A” buildings in complex matters involving commercial lease enforcement, holdovers, escalation and construction disputes, Yellowstone injunctions, guaranty claims, and foreclosure defense.

The ideal candidate will have meaningful experience managing landlord-tenant proceedings from start to finish, including drafting and serving rent demands and predicate notices, litigating commercial nonpayment and holdover proceedings, appearing in Civil and Supreme Court, and engaging in settlement negotiations. A strong working knowledge of NYC real estate law, including RPAPL, CPLR, and the nuances of lease construction and enforcement, is essential. Experience advising owners in pre-litigation strategy or defending against tenant claims related to improvements, rent abatements, or access disputes will be highly valued.

This position is tailored for a proactive, self-directed associate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in anticipating both partner and client needs. The successful candidate will be expected to manage deadlines, communicate effectively with clients, and think several steps ahead to support a practice built on precision, responsiveness, and results. The position offers a competitive salary in the range of $200,000 to $245,000, a liberal hours-based bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
