Position Overview

Boston Public Schools seeks an Instructional Program Director to ensure all educators have access to the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to provide students with a high-quality, culturally and linguistically sustaining education that prepares them for college, career, and life.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in implementing research-based instructional practices using standards-aligned materials across disciplines.
• Coach and provide feedback to educators to improve instruction and support professional growth.
• Design and deliver professional development for staff.
• Lead data-informed interventions and oversee the Instructional Leadership Team.
• Develop processes for progress monitoring, assessments, and instructional tools.
• Analyze student performance data and guide instructional improvements.

Qualifications - Required

• Master's Degree in Education
• 3-5 years secondary teaching experience (preferably in Boston or similar demographics)
• Massachusetts Supervisor or Principal License
• Leadership qualities, interpersonal skills, and cultural competence
• Strong communication, data analysis, and technology skills

Qualifications - Preferred

• Massachusetts Teaching License
• Experience in instructional leadership, coaching, and evaluation
• Familiarity with Boston Public Schools and multilingual capabilities
