Position Overview
Boston Public Schools seeks an Instructional Program Director to ensure all educators have access to the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to provide students with a high-quality, culturally and linguistically sustaining education that prepares them for college, career, and life.
Responsibilities
- Support teachers in implementing research-based instructional practices using standards-aligned materials across disciplines.
- Coach and provide feedback to educators to improve instruction and support professional growth.
- Design and deliver professional development for staff.
- Lead data-informed interventions and oversee the Instructional Leadership Team.
- Develop processes for progress monitoring, assessments, and instructional tools.
- Analyze student performance data and guide instructional improvements.
Qualifications - Required
- Master's Degree in Education
- 3-5 years secondary teaching experience (preferably in Boston or similar demographics)
- Massachusetts Supervisor or Principal License
- Leadership qualities, interpersonal skills, and cultural competence
- Strong communication, data analysis, and technology skills
Qualifications - Preferred
- Massachusetts Teaching License
- Experience in instructional leadership, coaching, and evaluation
- Familiarity with Boston Public Schools and multilingual capabilities
