Head of Business Development, OEMs - Remote | Washington D.C. - Autonomy & Navigation Tech
Join a fast-paced company building critical autonomy and navigation systems for the aerospace and defence sector. As Head of OEM Business Development, you'll be the commercial architect; identifying and scaling strategic partnerships with platform manufacturers and systems integrators. If you know how to take a breakthrough product from pilot to platform-wide adoption, this is your chance to lead from the front.
Key Responsibilities
- Own commercial strategy for OEM and Tier 1 partnerships
- Build and manage relationships with airframe manufacturers and primes
- Take responsibility for partner success - from technical scoping through deployment
- Shape and negotiate long-term agreements covering licensing, data sharing, and integration
- Be the voice of the customer internally, ensuring alignment between partners and product
- Represent the company externally with credibility, confidence, and vision
Key Requirements
- 10+ years in aerospace, defence tech, or autonomy-related BD or partnerships
- Experience selling or integrating complex systems (avionics, ISR, autonomy platforms, etc.)
- Strong understanding of how OEMs and Tier 1s operate and how to work with them
- Strategic mindset, but able to execute quickly in a startup environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Able to travel regularly across the US
