Employment Status: Full-Time (.75 or greater)
Hours per Pay Period: 1.00 = 80 hours every two weeks (Non-Exempt)
Starting Wage DOE: $32.06 - 40.07
The nurses in the OB/GYN Department will be responsible for applying evidence-based nursing practice to the care of women over the course of their lifespan. This involves the integration of education and research into the practice through the application of standards and guidelines. Data collection and assessment are used to establish goals and priorities in accordance with patient care, staff needs, and organizational objectives. Nurses are accountable for the quality of care rendered.
Essential Job Functions
•Supports and models behaviors consistent with BillingsClinic's mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and serviceexpectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements.Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agencystandards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or jobperformance.
•Utilizing a holistic approach incorporates the nursingprocess into the plan of care for the patient. Plan of care should includebiophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and dischargeplanning.
•Plans, organizes, implements, evaluates and documentsfamily-centered perinatal care by promoting a safe and therapeutic environmentfor women, newborns, family, significant others, and care providers. Care isconsistent with Billings Clinic values/goals and Billings Clinic organizationaland departmental policies and procedures.
•Maintains competency in all organizational, departmentaland outside agency environmental, employee or patient safety standards relevantto job performance. Identifies and anticipates problems and safety issues andinitiates appropriate corrective action.
•Maintains appropriate theoretical and clinical skillswith application and patient relevance of commonly utilized equipment specificto the department and other areas as appropriate; pharmacological application;application of laboratory values and radiologic findings with disease processor physiological status.
•Utilizes performance improvement principles to assessand improve the quality of patient care. Evaluates current nursing practiceswithin the department to identify opportunities for modification that wouldenhance professional practice, maintain or improve patient care while remainingfiscally sound.
•Identifies needs and sets goals for own growth anddevelopment; meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements.Maintains proficiency and knowledge within a rapidly changing environment.
•Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet theneeds of the department or organization.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
•Minimum 2 Year /Associate Degree
•Associate (orDiploma) RNs with less than 5 years of RN experience hired into this positionmust commit to completing their Bachelor of Nursing degree within 4 years aftertheir hire date. Billings Clinic will help support the cost through financialassistance.
Certifications and Licenses
•Certification in an area related to women's health carepreferred or ability to become certified within two (2) years of employment isstrongly encouraged.
•Healthcare Provider CPR certification
•Current Montana state license as a Registered Nurse
