Description: The facility is an 18-bed full-service emergency department. It has a helipad, laboratory services, and 24-hour imaging capabilities onsite. The department treats an average of 1,100 patients per month. Staff includes RNs, paramedics, and administrative support. The patient ratio is typically 1 RN to 3-5 patients. Common procedures performed include 12-lead EKG, IV therapy, medication administration, wound care, and splinting. Other tasks involve cardiac monitoring, resuscitation, ventilator setup, airway management, and titration of vasopressor drips. The ideal candidate is a fast-paced, experienced emergency department nurse who is energetic and takes initiative. Teamwork and collaboration are highly valued. The unit offers strong leadership and exceptional inter-professional collaboration. There are opportunities for cross-training in other departments.
