Title : HSE /Quality Supervisor
Location : Azle, TX (near Fort Worth, TX)
Hire Type : Direct Hire

Salary Range: $70k-$80k
Job Duties:
  • Manage and improve established quality assurance processes and systems.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts and implement process enhancements using lean methodologies.
  • Support safety protocols by identifying risks within quality control procedures and fostering a safety-focused environment.
  • Conduct internal audits and assist with external quality audits (ISO, TS, etc.).
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members on quality standards and best practices for safety.
  • Utilize statistical tools like control charts and gage R&R to monitor and enhance processes.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to resolve quality issues and exceed customer expectations.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of quality metrics and incidents.
  • Organize and lead weekly safety meetings and safety programs.
  • Perform scheduled safety audits to maintain compliance and enhance safety measures.
  • Develop and implement training programs for managers and employees in workplace safety practices, fire prevention, and chemical handling.
  • Analyze plant reports and investigate industrial accidents and health hazards, recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Inspect facilities to identify potential accident and health hazards, implement preventive measures, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with Regional HSE Manager during accident investigations and support in legal and insurance matters.
  • Maintain safety records and files according to regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in a related field, combined with 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing quality (preferably in high-volume metal fabrication). Candidates without a degree will be considered if they have 7-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Background in operational excellence methodologies such as Six Sigma or Kaizen is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with ISO or TS quality standards is preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and quality/statistical software.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Energetic, proactive approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and workplace safety.
