JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is looking for a System Administrator to join their credit union client's team on a full-time basis in the greater Cleveland area. This person is responsible for providing reliable and responsive IT support for management of computer systems and services that contribute to the successful day-to-day operation of the Credit Union, its employees and ability to serve its members
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
35% Provide primary support for installing, updating, maintaining and troubleshooting servers, computer systems and networks that support Credit Union operations, employees and members. Ensure those systems operate reliably and securely.
20% Provide technical assistance for Credit Union’s computer hardware, operating systems, network and applications for its employees.
20% Participate in short- and long-range planning for the department to select and utilize appropriate technologies to meet the evolving needs of the Credit Union and its members.
10% Oversees the maintenance of hardware and software at the Credit Union's disaster recovery site and provides technical support for disaster recovery testing.
10% Directs significant special projects as required.
5% Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Expectations:
1. Ensure prompt response to and recovery from systems and network related production interruptions, across multiple hardware platforms, networks and operating systems.
2. Anticipate system and network security/integrity risks and ensure adequate safeguards are maintained.
3. Ensure Credit Union’s software remains current and compliant by testing and updating software as new versions are released.
4. Identify opportunities to improve services to the Credit Union and/or its members through use of new products and technologies.
5. Develop recommendations for cost efficiencies and enhancements to products, pricing and processes by monitoring trends in financial services operations.
6. Keep senior management informed regarding key operating issues affecting the department.
7. Maintain complete and accurate documentation and support services/warranties for new equipment, software, hardware, and peripherals.
8. Keep abreast of state-of-the-art hardware and software developments. Recommend new technologies that enhance the efficiency and security of the network infrastructure.
9. Maintain and administer internal and external email systems. Research problems, resolve issues, and evaluate vendors on an on-going basis.
10. Monitor software licenses to ensure compliance with vendors’ regulations.
11. Research and diagnose IT problems within the entire infrastructure, troubleshoot, and provide solutions. Test solutions to ensure a correct solution.
1. Previous IT system administration experience Microsoft Windows server and client operating systems; server, desktop, laptop, network and peripheral hardware; and LAN/WAN networks.
2. Technical planning, project management.
3. Ability to discuss technical issues effectively with technical as well as non-technical users.
4. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work and travel independently and use general office equipment, give speeches and make presentations.
Compensation: $85,000 to $95,000 per year annual salary.
