Position: Drayage Dispatcher
Location: Long Beach, CA (Fully Onsite)
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday (1st or 2nd shift depending on needs)
Compensation: $25-$28/hr (potentially negotiable for the right candidate)

A growing leader in the intermodal drayage industry is looking to bring on a Dispatcher to join their high-performing team in Long Beach. This position is open due to growth and offers a competitive pay structure, excellent benefits, and a strong team-oriented culture.
We're looking for experienced dispatchers in the drayage space who are proactive, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. If you're a go-getter with a solid grasp of port operations and TMS systems (specifically Trinium) , this could be the perfect next step in your logistics career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily dispatch operations for both employee drivers and Owner Operators
- Maintain real-time accuracy in TMS and GPS dispatch systems
- Monitor container statuses through port websites, steamship lines, and call centers
- Coordinate timely container returns and understand empty receiving requirements
- Understand and apply Owner Operator contract guidelines and recognize their right to reject loads
- Stay up to date on terminal congestion trends and delays
- Ensure compliance with Hours of Service and Logbook regulations
- Communicate effectively with drivers, internal teams, and customers
- Generate and manage dispatch-related reports
- Collaborate with Customer Service to meet or exceed client expectations
- Attend team meetings and meet performance KPIs regularly
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish (Highly Preferred)
- 3 plus years of intermodal drayage dispatching
- Familiarity with port/terminal operations and transportation management systems (TMS) preferable Trinium
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high-volume activity
- Clear, professional communication and strong team collaboration
