CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Training Material & Documentation Writer – Supply Chain/Quality.


Type: Contract- long term

Job Title: Training Material & Documentation Writer – Supply Chain/Quality

Location: Remote 75% and travel to Midland, NC and Wilmington, NC 25%

Pay Rate: $28.00/hr

Work Hours: M-F 8am–5pm ET (occasional earlier meetings to align with EMEA/India team members )


Description

The Midland, NC and Wilmington, NC manufacturing locations are transitioning their ERP system from PeopleSoft to SAP. The contract resource(s) will assist project team members in identifying, modifying, and creating training materials and instructional documentation to support Supply Chain and Quality functions for both locations, including Planning, Scheduling, Procurement, Storeroom, Warehouse, Shipping, and Quality.


Duties/Tasks:

  • Collaborate with project team members and plant resources (workforce development, documentation contacts, and functional group representatives) to identify training material and documentation requiring updates or creation
  • Develop and revise training materials and documentation using MS Word, MS Excel, .pdf, MS PowerPoint, and other tools, incorporating narratives and screenshots
  • Align work with project timelines and milestones to support site pilots and training sessions
  • Meet on-site with project team members and plant personnel to gain an understanding of current PeopleSoft workflows and learn the new SAP processes
  • Participate in team meetings, information-gathering sessions, and end-user training events as needed

Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience

  • SAP ERP system usage focused on Supply Chain areas (Planning, Scheduling, Procurement, Storeroom, Warehouse, Shipping, and Quality)
  • Proficiency in developing and updating training material and documentation using MS Office tools and PDF creation, incorporating both written content and visual elements
  • Ability to work independently, follow direction, and meet deadlines while providing regular progress updates
  • Strong team collaboration skills, with flexibility to adapt to changes in project direction

Desired Skills/Knowledge/Experience

  • Exposure to manufacturing plant environments

Required Qualifications


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
