The Volunteer STEMM Instructor will support CDU Pathways Programs by leading classroom instruction on-site and/or off-site at our partnering school sites.
The Volunteer STEMM Instructor will share expertise in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine with Pre-K to 12th-grade students. Volunteer in classrooms, act as mentors, and lead workshops in underserved communities. While inspiring the next generation of STEMM leaders by providing hands-on learning experiences for students.
- Lead classroom instruction for Pre-K to 12th-grade students in STEMM topics.
- Assist in the delivery of STEMM-related activities and lessons to students in an educational and outreach setting.
- Work collaboratively with program staff and partners during weekly programming and community events.
- Support in creating program materials to enhance classroom experiences.
- Attend weekly professional development and lesson training.
- Provide a positive, safe, inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Lesson planning, curriculum development, and student assessment.
- Volunteers may need to report on student progress, address concerns, or collaborate with other team members.
