Job Summary:
The EHS Manager is responsible for leading and managing all environmental, health, and safety programs within a chemical manufacturing facility. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, promotes a strong safety culture, and drives continuous improvement in EHS performance across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, DOT).
  • Lead site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Manage incident investigations and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Oversee environmental permitting, reporting, and waste management activities.
  • Provide EHS training and guidance to employees and contractors.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to integrate EHS into operational strategies.
  • Monitor and report EHS performance metrics and drive improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field.
  • 8+ years of EHS experience in chemical or process manufacturing, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, process safety management (PSM), and industrial hygiene.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.
