Essential Functions
- Underwrite business purpose bridge or construction loans in compliance with credit guidelines.
- Review loan files for completeness, identify missing documentation, and approve borrower background.
- Collaborate with Sales, Processors, Managers and Closers to communicate guideline requirements and finalize loan scenarios.
- Must be able to prioritize time sensitive deadlines.
- Manage pipeline of 60+ loans with efficiency and accuracy.
- Analyze valuations for accuracy, risk and detail review of comparable market sales.
- Participate in weekly pipeline meeting.
- Identify and evaluate strengths, mitigating factors, and weaknesses of the loan request and escalate risks and issues.
- Prepare and submit exception memos for scenarios falling outside guidelines.
- Perform duties and responsibilities specific to department functions and activities.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by Manager.

- Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on advanced excel skills.
- Financial analytical analysis with math and general accounting knowledge.
Education and Experience
- 2 years’ experience underwriting business purpose and/or multifamily, commercial lending.
- 2 years’ experience reviewing guarantor and borrower background reports, valuation analysis, including entity documentation to determine ownership and borrower structure.
- 5 years of analytical experience within financial services, commercial banking, or business purpose lending.
