Job Title: Project Manager I (Product Owner)

Location: Stamford, CT

Temp Type: Contract until EOY with possibility for extension

Bill Rate: $45 hr


About the Role:

Our Fortune 75 Media telecom client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project Manager I (Product Owner) to join the Customer Experience / Customer Operations team in Stamford, CT. This role will focus on managing communication projects (email/SMS) that directly impact the experience of Charter’s Cable and Mobile customers. You will be responsible for guiding initiatives through the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering to implementation, ensuring effective execution and alignment with business goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality goals
  • Drive and support multiple initiatives related to customer communications (email/SMS)
  • Write detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs)
  • Participate in and lead grooming calls, project planning sessions, and stakeholder meetings
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams and establish effective communication plans
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement change management strategies as needed
  • Prepare documentation including status reports and project updates
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of deliverables


Day-to-Day Task Breakdown:

  • 30%: Project meetings
  • 30%: Writing BRDs and FRDs
  • 20%: Grooming and planning calls
  • 20%: Project tracking and status reporting


Top Required Skills:

  • Project Management (1-3 years of experience)
  • Strong experience writing functional and business requirements
  • Excellent prioritization and task management skills
