Our client in the telecommunications industry is seeking an experienced Network Operations Manager (Fiber/OSP) for an exciting long-term contract opportunity on a on-site/hybrid basis. This position is based in Minneapolis, MN and this candidate must sit in market.
This person must have previous fiber/OSP project deployment experience.
Job Overview:
The Network Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned projects within the Network organization. This role ensures the successful delivery of projects within the identified timeframe and budget. The position involves managing the planning, design, and development activities for outside plant (OSP) facilities and networks, ensuring adherence to work processes, standards, and schedules. The ideal candidate will have expertise in OSP design, construction, and planning, as well as experience in indirect supervision and contractor oversight.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of assigned projects within the Network organization.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Oversee the planning, design, and development activities for outside plant (OSP) facilities and networks.
- Ensure work processes, standards, and master plans are in conformance with organizational requirements.
- Review work orders and projects, with approval authority as needed.
- Manage and control the allocation of resources and materials.
- Provide oversight of construction budgets and complex project management activities.
- Supervise contractors and provide indirect supervision to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in OSP design, construction, and planning.
- Strong skills in managing indirect supervision and contractor oversight.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
- Experience in resource and material allocation management.
- Knowledge of construction budgets and complex project management activities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Pay Range: $50/HR
