Flowtec is partnered with a fast-growing, design-forward general contractor headquartered in Southfield, MI. With over 30 years in business, this firm specializes in tenant improvements and ground-up construction projects across the hospitality, multifamily, and commercial sectors . Known for its collaborative in-house design-build model and long-standing relationships with repeat clients, the company delivers high-quality, customized spaces throughout Southeast Michigan and beyond.


They are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex renovation and new construction projects from preconstruction through turnover. The ideal candidate has a strong background managing fast-paced interior buildouts, adaptive reuse, and ground-up developments, with the ability to manage client expectations while delivering on time and within budget.


This role reports directly to the Vice President of Construction and serves as a key leader within the operations team.


Responsibilities

  • Lead full lifecycle of construction projects including design collaboration, estimating, subcontractor buyout, project execution, and closeout.
  • Coordinate with clients, designers, engineers, and internal teams to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Oversee project schedules using tools like MS Project, ensuring timely execution of all phases.
  • Manage all project documentation, including subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and meeting notes.
  • Maintain job cost control and oversee billing processes in coordination with accounting.
  • Visit job sites regularly to ensure quality, safety, and progress benchmarks are met.
  • Lead project meetings and serve as the primary point of contact for owners and consultants.
  • Mentor and support junior project managers, assistant PMs, and coordinators.


Qualifications

  • 8+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, with a focus on tenant improvements, hospitality, multifamily, and mixed-use projects.
  • Proven experience in both interior renovations and ground-up builds.
  • Strong ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractor performance across multiple projects.
  • Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Performance-Based Bonuses paid on a semi-annual basis
  • Auto Allowance: $500/month with company gas card
  • 401(k): 3% company match
  • 15 Days of Paid Vacation + 10 Company Holidays
