Service Advisor/Writer

*Job Overview* We seek an enthusiastic, motivated, and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our family-owned and operated business. Team Welsh Jeep Chrysler has served the community for over 100 years. The ideal candidate will act as the primary point of contact between customers and service technicians, ensuring that all customer needs are addressed efficiently and effectively. This role requires strong communication skills, a understanding of automotive repair processes, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. *Responsibilities* * Greet customers upon arrival and assess their automotive service needs. * Accurately document customer concerns and vehicle issues, including brake repair, suspension problems, and tire service requirements. * Collaborate with service technicians to relay customer information and ensure proper diagnostics and repairs are performed. * Provide customers with detailed explanations of services needed, including automotive maintenance tasks such as alignment and general vehicle upkeep. * Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of payments and service orders. * Follow up with customers regarding the status of their vehicles and any additional services that may be needed. * Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols. *Qualifications* * Previous experience in an automotive service environment is preferred. * Customer service background is a positive (doesn't have to be in the car industry) * Knowledge of automotive repair processes, including diagnostics, brake repair, suspension work, tire service, and general vehicle maintenance. * Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers. * Experience in automotive field is a plus * Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. * A passion for the automotive industry and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
