We’re seeking a flexible, well-rounded Chef Tournant to join our culinary team. This role is perfect for a passionate cook who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working across multiple stations and concepts. You'll support both The Duck & The Peach’s modern American dinner service and La Collina’s Italian-inspired Tigelle lunch window, stepping in wherever needed—from sauté to grill, garde manger to pastry.
You’ll work directly with Executive Chef Katarina Petonito and Pastry Chef Rochelle Cooper , gaining broad experience and exposure to both fast-paced line cooking and guest-facing service.
Schedule & Details:Full-time position: 35–40 hours/week
Shifts: PM (2–3 PM start), depending on station needs
On-site near Eastern Market; closest Metro stop: Eastern Market
Rotate between stations (grill, sauté, pastry, etc.) based on daily needs
Maintain consistent food quality and presentation during high-volume service
Support mise en place and prep for both AM and PM services
Step in for line cooks or leads during absences or high-demand periods
Uphold kitchen cleanliness, safety, and food handling standards
2–4 years of experience in a professional kitchen
Strong foundation in a variety of cooking techniques
Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
Organized, adaptable, and calm under pressure
Eager to grow within a supportive, team-driven culture
Guest-friendly attitude when working lunch service at La Collina
Must be able to stand for 6–8 hours per shift
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
