Accounting Specialist
GBAs accounting group has an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist who will report directly to the Controller. This role is responsible for the cash disbursement process, including vendor setup/maintenance, invoice approval/coding, and disbursement processing. The position also involves general administrative duties such as filing, customer and vendor communication, and supporting various projects.
The ideal candidate should be a dependable, detail-oriented, organized team player with technical competence, a focus on process improvement, and strong communication skills across audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable vouchers and checks.
- Perform administrative duties including filing, communication, and petty cash transactions.
- Support continuous process improvements to adapt to company changes.
- Handle special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience preferred.
- Experience in the Construction industry is a plus.
- Experience with Deltek Computerease is a plus.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Must be collaborative, organized, self-motivated, and customer-oriented.
- A background and credit check will be performed.
