This position is PRN/On-Call or as needed:
The Radiologic Technologist II performs diagnostic imaging procedures and the additional tests in one of the following modalities: CT, MRI, or Mammography, as well as a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment in applying prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnosis.

Essential Functions:
- Obtains patient history, maintains accurate patient records, charge procedures and supplies to the patient's medical record
- Performs procedure(s) as ordered by healthcare provider and observes patient during procedure(s)
- Takes images and evaluates for technical quality and forwards to Radiologist to review/evaluate results
- Assists patient to and from exam room/table; positions patient to ensure optimal results of procedure(s)
- Prepares patients for examination by explaining procedure(s); provides appropriate protective shielding
- Positions equipment for height and angle and sets measurements and controls for appropriate density, details and contrast
- Assists maintain records and files to ensure compliance with all state and federal requirements and regulatory standards
- Prepares solutions of contrast medium and administers as ordered by healthcare provider, and medical supplies
- Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment to provide for ongoing safe operations
- Performs and documents quality control activities, identifies and reports equipment for repair
- Maintains stock and inventory levels of supplies for procedures
- Actively participates in a variety of performance and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide for the psychological and physical needs of patients for procedures
- Assist in maintenance and compilation of statistical data
- Participates in departmental orientation, on the job training and quality assurance programs/initiatives
- Participates in a variety of department and hospital educational programs to maintain current skill and competency levels; identifies and discusses performance or training needs with Supervisor
- Other duties as required
- Two years of experience in diagnostic Radiology with dual modality
- Completion of Radiology Technology program in an ARRT approved school; current registration with American Registry of Radiology Technologists
- Sub-specialty certification, such as ARRT, CT, MRI and/or Mammography. (if performing Mammography' certification required and credentials and continuing Education Credit's must be current and must meet MQSA)
- Current BLS certification, ACLS preferred
