We are transforming the residential real estate experience, one closing at a time. Join our Laguna Niguel, CA branch of Glen Oaks Escrow at First American, where we value our people above all. We are seeking an Escrow Officer to join our dynamic, fast-paced team focused on customer service and closing deals. This role requires exceptional decision-making, strong communication skills, and the ability to multi-task within a team. The Escrow Officer handles real estate transactions, manages escrow accounts, processes closing documents, and ensures settlements are completed per policies and procedures, helping turn homeownership dreams into reality.

What Youll Do

  • Complete real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements.
  • Act as a neutral liaison between parties, adhere to company policies, and monitor and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure all funds are properly accounted for and disbursed according to contract terms and company policies.
  • Prepare regular reports on escrow account statuses and communicate with involved parties.
  • Examine property titles, mortgages, and trust deed documents.
  • Prepare legal documents for sale closures.
  • Complete closings by recording and filing documents, preparing, and distributing final statements and titles.

What Youll Bring
  • 2-4 years of escrow-related experience.
  • Experience handling escrow transactions as an escrow assistant is preferred.
  • Openness to new technology and proprietary programs; adaptable to workflow changes.
  • Passion for helping customers with a professional and positive attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal teams and customers.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively to exceed customer expectations.
  • Willingness to guide and support future talent learning the business.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and adaptability to new software.
  • Valid licensing/certification as required by the state.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Pay Range: $24.30 - $33.30 hourly. This position may be eligible for bonuses or incentives based on production or other goals. Compensation depends on various factors including experience, skills, and location.
