Reports To: Revenue Accounting Manager / Controller

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Revenue Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will focus on managing the end-to-end billing process, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, and supporting compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. The ideal candidate will be experienced in interpreting contracts, working with customized billing systems, and preparing financial reports that support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain revenue and billing frameworks within the companys financial systems to ensure consistent and accurate data processing.
- Evaluate customer agreements and related documentation to determine appropriate revenue treatment and ensure adherence to internal billing and accounting policies.
- Manage the setup and ongoing maintenance of billing structures using the companys customized reservations billing platform; oversee the monthly invoicing cycle related to reservations and provide supporting reports.
- Handle the monthly billing process for group sales, including updating records and generating related financial reports to track performance and compliance.
- Create, process, and post financial transactions related to invoicing and credit memos, ensuring timely and accurate entries in the accounting system.
- Support month-end close activities by assisting in the calculation, preparation, and posting of revenue and expense journal entries in accordance with accounting standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with a focus on revenue or billing.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles (ASC 606 is a plus).
- Experience with ERP systems and billing software; familiarity with customized billing platforms is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply contract terms to financial transactions and reporting.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and meet tight deadlines.
- Previous industry experience in a billing or accounting-focused role is a plus.
