Position Overview

We are seeking a Director of Pediatric Dentistry to lead and advance our Pediatric Dentistry program in the Celeste Myers Dental Clinic. This role provides a unique opportunity to shape the future of pediatric dental care by overseeing clinical operations, driving strategic initiatives, and fostering innovation in education and research. The Director will play a pivotal role in developing interdisciplinary collaborations and enhancing patient outcomes through leadership, patient care, and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leadership & Program Development: Lead the Pediatric Dentistry team in delivering exceptional care, expanding services, and ensuring excellence.
  2. Clinical & Administrative Management: Oversee pediatric dental services, including preventive care, orthodontics, trauma management, and restorative dentistry.
  3. Practice & Financial Management: Drive efficiency and financial sustainability while maintaining high-quality patient care.
  4. Strategic Planning & Growth: Develop strategies for expanding services and integrating interdisciplinary care models.
  5. Quality & Safety: Ensure compliance with best practices, safety protocols, and quality improvement initiatives.
  6. Education & Research: Mentor and educate trainees and staff, contribute to academic initiatives, and participate in research through the Rebecca D. Considine Research Institute.
  7. Collaboration & Partnerships: Build relationships with hospital leadership, interdisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders to elevate pediatric dentistrys impact.

Position Requirements
  • D.M.D. or D.D.S. from an ADA-accredited U.S. dental school
  • Board certification by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Ohio dental license
  • Minimum of 5 years pediatric dentistry experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership role
  • Passion for clinical excellence, innovation, and mentoring future professionals

This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished pediatric dentist with a vision for advancing dental care and making a lasting impact on children's health. This position qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the Federal government.
