A South Bay startup is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The Senior Accountant will handle activities related to month-end close, financial reporting, and the general ledger. What are the requirements for this Senior Accountant role?
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- 3-5 years of accounting experience
- Public accounting experience is required
- CPA candidate or licensed
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant
- Review bank activity and reconcile cash discrepancies
- Handle revenue reporting and recognition
- Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Prepare lease schedules and journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations and prepare journal entries
- Generate consolidated financial statements
- Conduct technical research and prepare memos
- File sales, use, and property taxes
