Company and Role Details
A South Bay real estate company is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team due to recent internal promotions. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Senior Accountant will manage accounting for a set of properties and bank accounts for a pool of assets. This role involves owning the full scope of accounting for these assets and conducting revenue analytics for the balance sheet and income statement. Success in this role requires prior senior accounting experience, a collaborative spirit, and a desire to grow and learn.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
- At least 4 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- CPA certification or progress towards it is preferred but not required
- Advanced Excel skills
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and analyze GL accounts
- Conduct month-end close reporting
- Review financial statements
- Perform variance analysis
- Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts
- Participate in the annual audit process
- Review cash receipts, billing, and lease agreements
