Position Title: Portfolio Manager
Title of Supervisor : EVP/Chief Credit Officer

Summary Of The Position
This position maintains and services a variety of business and individual loans and lines of credit, both secured and unsecured. Deepens relationships with existing customers to retain and expand lending and deposit business with the bank. Keeps informed as to the status of loans in their portfolio. Provides financial counsel to current customers and handles all but the more complex types of loans. Supports Commercial Loan Officers and Relationship Managers with the management of loans in assigned portfolio.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintains quality customer relationships, including business/personal loans and deposits. Calls on existing customer relationships, when needed, to support the assigned Commercial Loan Officer/Relationship Manager.
- Under general direction, makes, services, and renews a variety of business and individual loans and lines of credit, both secured and unsecured.
- Monitors and keeps informed on status of loans in assigned portfolio.
- Responsible for assigned customer credit quality and origination and renewal of loans consistent with the Banks credit policies.
- Interacts with credit administration, servicing, operations, appraisal, legal and other related personnel as needed for loan maintenance and/or troubleshooting.
- Assists with periodic reports and audit preparation of loans in assigned portfolio.
- Responsible for monitoring the financial reporting tickler, covenant compliance log and past due report of loans in assigned portfolio.
- May assist Loan Officer/Relationship Manager as back-up officer or in analyzing credits.
- Provides guidance and direction to junior staff members and resolves customer problems.
- Is familiar, and complies, with applicable company policies and all banking regulations including, but not limited to BSA, USA Patriot/CIP requirements, AML, and all Fair Lending, CRA and Compliance related regulations. Meet measurable goals and objectives assigned annually.
- Completes annual training, as required.
- Performs and assists in other miscellaneous duties as may be assigned.
Portfolio Manager I (LO-AVP)
- Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- One or more years lending related experience.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Knowledge and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts as well as credit principles and banking products.
- Knowledge of accounting and financial statement basics
- Knowledge of loan servicing and able to handle customer requests under general direction and independently.
- Knowledge of loan disbursement requirements and spreadsheet maintenance, including lines of credit and agriculture production loans
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of computers and computer software such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and the Internet.
- Experience with spreading software such as Moodys, Baker Hill, CreditQuest, or a similar product is preferred but not required.
- Detailed-oriented self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines and plan and prioritize work
- Able to operate in a multi-tasking environment with numerous work interruptions, high volume of interaction with personnel, management, and customers.
- Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Three or more years lending related experience.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts as well as credit principles and banking products.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting and financial statement basics
- Advanced Knowledge of loan servicing and able to handle customer requests independently.
- Advanced Knowledge of loan disbursement requirements and spreadsheet maintenance, including lines of credit, construction loans and agriculture production loans
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of computers and computer software such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and the Internet.
- Experience with spreading software such as Moodys, Baker Hill, CreditQuest, or a similar product is preferred but not required.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelors degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Base salary commensurate with experience and standard employee benefits package
- Office environment requires sitting and/or standing for one or more continuous hours, some travel within the bank footprint for client appointments, bank meetings, and community events.
