Job Description:
The Cancer Cytogenetics FISH Technologist will be expected to perform processing of samples submitted for FISH on hematological specimens.
Responsibilities
65% - Perform FISH testing on hematologic malignancies and cancer specimens
30% - Maintaining quality control logs
5%- Other duties as assigned
Percent time is subject to change according to the needs of the laboratory.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training and experience, plus three years of related experience in FISH or Cytogenetics
- Knowledge of CLIA regulations and recommendations
- Strong Attention to detail and organization skills
- Experience in Biology laboratory techniques
- FISH experience with cancer specimens is required
