This position is responsible for the reconciliation and collection activity for Blitt and Gaines P.C. accounts. The role involves assessing customer needs and reconciling issues according to company, client, federal, state, and local requirements and policies.

Job Title: Collector

Job Summary: This position requires substantial knowledge of the collections industry, rules and regulations, litigation process, and general business operations of the Collections Department under general supervision.

Daily Tasks and Responsibilities include:

• Handle inbound and outbound calls in a high-paced environment.
• Recover past due payments while applying customer service skills.
• Update consumer file information and note accounts.
• Negotiate payment/settlement arrangements.
• Confirm consumer information and process payments.
• Investigate and resolve consumer/file discrepancies.
• Build working relationships with consumers and attorneys to resolve accounts.
• Comply with all legal requirements.

Qualifications:

• Computer skills and ability to work with multiple systems.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with multitasking ability.
• Positive attitude, energetic, motivated.
• Call center, collections, or sales experience is a plus; prior exposure to FDCPA is helpful.
