The ideal candidate will be familiar with HUD, LIHTC, and Section 8 programs and will play a critical role in leasing, compliance, tenant relations, and operational support.This position supports the Property Manager in all aspects of community oversight, ensuring that residents receive excellent service and that the property remains in compliance with all regulatory standards.Essential FunctionsResident ManagementAssist with resident relations by addressing concerns, resolving issues, and providing consistent communication and supportProcess move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals in accordance with company policies and compliance regulationsSupport resident engagement efforts to foster a positive and inclusive community environmentAffordable Housing ComplianceAssist with maintaining compliance with all affordable housing guidelines, including HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, and other funding programsProcess income certifications, recertifications, and maintain accurate tenant files in accordance with regulatory requirementsEnsure all required documentation is complete, current, and audit-readyLeasing & MarketingConduct property tours, respond to leasing inquiries, and assist applicants through the leasing and eligibility processSupport leasing efforts to maintain optimal occupancy levels by assisting with marketing outreach, managing listings, and tracking vacanciesPrepare lease agreements and ensure compliance with fair housing regulationsMaintenance CoordinationLog, monitor, and follow up on work orders to ensure timely completionCoordinate with vendors, maintenance technicians, and residents to ensure high-quality serviceConduct routine inspections of units and common areas to uphold cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standardsFinancial & Administrative SupportAssist with rent collection, delinquency tracking, and enforcement of lease termsSupport budget tracking, invoice processing, and monthly reporting on occupancy, income, and expensesMaintain accurate records using property management software and assist with preparing property reports as neededTeam CollaborationProvide day-to-day administrative support to the Property Manager and on-site teamAttend team meetings, assist with inspections, audits, and site visitsCommunicate effectively with team members, residents, and vendors to ensure smooth property operationsQualificationsExperience1-3 years of experience in property management or leasing, preferably in affordable housingWorking knowledge of HUD, LIHTC, and Section 8 programsFamiliarity with fair housing laws and housing compliance standardsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, or a related field preferredProperty management certifications (NALP, CAM, COS, etc.) are a plusSkillsStrong organizational, communication, and customer service skillsProficient in property management software and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain regulatory accuracyDetail-oriented and dependable with a strong team-first attitudeWork Environment & Physical RequirementsThis role is primarily office-based but requires regular walking of the property and occasional physical activity.
