About the Role:

The engineer will focus on integration support for vehicle electronic systems. We are looking to hire a highly motivated individual to support our Software Loader and Verifier/DevSecOps team.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this Role: Load components with software images to deploy official software releases in lab environments and vehicles. Build and configure VxWorks, Linux, or other embedded operating systems. Perform Linux system programming tasks, including driver development and new hardware enablement on embedded Linux systems. Integrate various software into build systems. Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software. Enable embedded system security using cryptography and secure architectures. Manage individual priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. Experience with Gitlab, Bitbucket, Eclipse, GIT, DOORs, Jira / Bitbucket / Confluence, gdb, or QT is a plus. Familiarity with Agile, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment concepts. Experience with Linux device drivers, bootloaders, memory maps or other system programming is a strong plus. Maintenance of safety-critical systems or real-time systems is desirable. Maintenance of one or more build environments such as Buildroot, OpenEmbedded, Python, or in particular Yocto. Experience with self-update practices, open source self-updaters. Experience with security features such as SELinux, verified boot, and trusted execution environments is a plus. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications / What You Must Have:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering required. 5-7 years of relevant work experience. Experience with modern CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Jenkins). Implement GitOps principles for deployment automation. Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Scripting & Automation: Write and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, Go, or other languages) to automate operational tasks. Capable of developing C and/or C code that can be maintained and updated over decades. Ability to troubleshoot low-level software issues and distinguish between hardware and software issues. Work closely with developers to improve deployment processes. Advocate for DevOps culture and best practices within the organization. Document infrastructure, processes, and automation scripts. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications. Additional Information / Desired Experience:

This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)

Be a self-starter and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and oral communication skills and able to work with all levels of the organization and across functions. Organization is essential due to the volume of tasks and projects, with the ability to align with tight deadlines and lead times. Work environment includes prototype shop, laboratory, manufacturing, and office. Able to work overtime when required. Able to bring continuous improvement processes and methodologies to the position. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required. Works well in a team and individually. Excellent communication skills. Previous experience working on ground combat vehicles desired.
