The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for assisting with financial record-keeping, data entry, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth accounting operations. Key Responsibilities:
Process invoices, payments, and expense reports with accuracy. Assist in reconciling bank statements and company accounts. Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and databases. Prepare and issue invoices to customers and follow up on payments. Support payroll processing by verifying timesheets and employee records. Assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) tasks. Generate reports and help with month-end closing procedures. Communicate with vendors and clients regarding payment discrepancies. Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry. Light office cleaning and organization. Occasional off-site errands (e.g., lunch pickup, supply runs).
Qualifications & Skills:
Associates degree (completed or in progress) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar is a plus). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
