New Patient Access Representative - Primary Role Summary The New Patient Access Representative serves as a vital first point of contact for adult patients seeking care. This role ensures a seamless and welcoming experience by efficiently managing appointment scheduling, patient communications, and follow-up outreach. The representative supports both newly referred patients and unassigned individuals transitioning from inpatient to outpatient care. Key Responsibilities Appointment Scheduling Accurately coordinate and schedule new patient appointments. Prioritize timely access to care for all incoming patients. Hospital Discharge Support Facilitate outpatient follow-up appointments for unassigned patients discharging from inpatient settings. Recall List Management Proactively work from a recall list to contact patients and schedule necessary appointments. Communication Management Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally. Respond to in-basket messages and electronic communications in a timely and courteous manner. Patient Registration Complete full and accurate patient registration. Ensure all demographic, insurance, and contact information is current and verified. Telephone Encounters Document all patient interactions clearly and thoroughly in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Onsite for training in South Portland then remote flexibility **must be located in Maine** Full time 40 hours per week 8:00AM-4:30PM Monday-Friday Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. License/Certifications: N/A Experience: Six months of medical office experience required. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient computer skills. Additional Information
