Position:
Store Manager Overview:
A store manager plans, directs, and controls the operation of the store and supervises all employees to manage production, inventory, merchandising, losses, gross and net profit, and hours of work in all departments. They supervise product ordering, support sales plans, maximize sales, and ensure compliance with regulations and collective bargaining agreements. They are responsible for hiring, firing, promotions, demotions, and disciplinary actions for all employees. Job Requirements:
Pass a pre-employment drug screen. Work required schedule to maintain store conditions and profitability. Possess good interpersonal skills, be mature, and a proven leader. Read, write, and perform basic math. Develop and enforce company policies and procedures. Be a self-starter. Travel up to 1 hour to and from work. Give verbal and written instructions. Read and interpret financial statements, including profit and loss, and set objectives to address deficiencies. Operate all store equipment. Open and close the cash office, set up cash register, and balance store cash. Provide verbal and written directions to employees. Supervise recruiting and training of employees. Conduct meetings to communicate results and directions. Operate telephones, intercoms, and computer systems; knowledge of Excel and Word preferred. Write work schedules within budget and complete weekly reports. Deal effectively with vendors, suppliers, competitors, and employees. Discipline employees as needed. Establish and administer rules, policies, and procedures. Maintain extensive knowledge of store duties. Maintain profitable store operations. Additional Details:
