Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, part of the Pacific Northwest Division of CommonSpirit, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Board Certified or Board Eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to join our team in Tacoma, WA.

Position Overview

We are a well-established women's health group in the Pacific Northwest, consisting of 9 OB/GYN physicians, 18 CNMs, 6 MFMs, 1 Urogynecologist, and 2 Gynecologic Oncologists. We provide evidence-based women's healthcare services to Tacoma and surrounding areas, with practices located near hospitals.

Candidates should be compassionate, dedicated, and hardworking. The role is primarily outpatient, with some inpatient duties during on-call weeks. Our team works a 4-day week with a 1:5 call rotation, usually not in-house during calls. Deliveries range from 0-4 per month. Procedures include cerclages, amniocentesis, CVS, and fetal echocardiograms (optional). Support staff includes MAs, nurses, and fully trained MFM sonographers. GYN/ONC and UroGyn support are available.

Hospital Overview

St Joseph Hospital in Tacoma is a 375-bed Level II Trauma Center with 24/7 in-house laborist and anesthesia coverage. It has a Level III NICU and partnerships for specialized neonatal care. The hospital is recognized for lactation care and is Baby Friendly certified.
