Description Compassionate Substance Use Disorder Counselor Position Overview: Licensed Substance Use Disorder Professional/Intern will assist patients through medically assisted treatments and techniques for handling opioid addiction. The counselor conducts individual and group sessions to aid in crisis management and coping strategies. The counselor will evaluate patients’ progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other counselors to help patients achieve overall outcomes. Responsibilities: Complete bio-psychosocial assessments. Provide individual and group counseling services; conduct direct service hours at scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment. Devote approximately 55% of each workday to direct services to clients. Develop aftercare and discharge plans. Conduct quality assurance file reviews. Maintain accurate and current clinical records in accordance with federal and state regulations governing NTP clinics. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: Minimum of an associate’s degree in behavioral science and counseling/case management experience. Certification as a CDP or eligibility to take the certification examination in DC. Successful criminal background check and drug screening. Salary Range: From $28.13 to $29.13 per hour. Salary will be determined based on experience, education, training, and other factors.
