As a Lead Cybersecurity Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking (CCB), you are an integral part of a team that develops high-quality cybersecurity solutions for various software applications on modern cloud-based technologies. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for executing critical cybersecurity architecture solutions by identifying, creating, and communicating risks, mitigation options, and solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of project goals. Job responsibilities Develop threat models for new, emerging, and modernizing technologies, leveraging cybersecurity threat intelligence, data flows, and residual risk analysis. Engage with technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches to meet current and future cybersecurity needs. Define the technical target state of cybersecurity products and drive the achievement of the strategy. Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall cybersecurity of software applications and systems. Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive continuous improvement and assess cybersecurity design and technical credentials for use in existing systems and architecture. Lead communities of practice to promote awareness and adoption of new and leading-edge cybersecurity technologies. Contribute to fostering a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification in Cybersecurity Architecture concepts and 5+ years of applied experience. 8+ years of experience in large-scale or startup environments involving cybersecurity solutions architecture, controls management, and threat modeling. Hands-on experience delivering enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions and controls. Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages. Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods. Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle. Advanced knowledge of agile methodologies such as continuous integration and delivery, application resiliency, and security. Proven expertise in software applications and technical processes within a discipline (e.g., public cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile). In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and IT systems. Practical experience with cloud-native technologies. Deep knowledge of one or more software applications. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or CISM are preferred. Experience in software engineering, especially in payments, travel, or rewards sectors, is preferred. Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend optimal solutions for future architecture. Effective communication skills with senior business leaders.
