Starting Salary: $68,640 annually

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Assistant Site Manager oversees the front desk operations, supervises and trains front desk staff, ensures compliance with policies, and assists the Site Manager with administrative tasks, including paperwork, recertifications, rent collection, and maintenance tracking. The role also involves training participants in the Supportive Housing Desk Clerk Program and supervising front desk staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervise front desk staff and monitor daily building activities.
Follow all operational, emergency, and safety procedures.
Train staff on emergency procedures and ensure policy compliance.
Prepare work schedules for desk staff.
Assist with rent collection, documentation, and enforcement of house rules.
Manage staff timesheets, payroll, incident reports, and complaint responses.
Conduct safety inspections and coordinate repairs and improvements.
Maintain relationships with community agencies and attend meetings.
Respond to building emergencies and cover front desk duties as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

POSITION DETAILS
Location: 650 Eddy Street, San Francisco, CA 94109
Status: Full-Time / Exempt
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm
On-call for emergencies
Reports to: Site Manager, Senior Site Manager, or Regional Property Director
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma required.
At least two years’ experience in residential supportive or affordable housing property management, especially with seniors and families.
Valid tax credit certification or ability to attain within six months.
Knowledge of property management policies and procedures.
Minimum one year supervisory experience.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
Interest in social justice advocacy.
Experience working in the Tenderloin District or with homelessness/recovery issues is a plus.
Experience with project-based subsidies or Public Housing Authority programs is desirable.
Valid California Driver’s License.
Valid phone number required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role requires sitting at a desk, using a computer, and occasional physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities. The environment is typically moderately noisy.
