POSITION OVERVIEW The Assistant Site Manager is responsible for managing the front desk operations, supervising and scheduling front desk staff, training on emergency procedures, and ensuring compliance with policies. They assist the Site Manager with paperwork, recertification, relations, maintenance tracking, rent collection, and deposits. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Supervise front desk staff. Follow all operational and safety procedures outlined in organizational manuals. Train staff on emergency and non-emergency procedures. Prepare and post work schedules. Monitor daily activities of the building, staff, and guests. Assist with certification processes, file maintenance, rent collection, and legal notices. Enforce property rules and policies fairly and thoroughly. Manage staff timesheets, payroll, incident, and complaint reports. Conduct safety inspections and schedule repairs/upgrades. Coordinate with community agencies and participate in meetings. Maintain positive relations with residents, visitors, and vendors. Provide on-call emergency response and front desk coverage as needed. Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY Front Desk Clerks POSITION DETAILS Location: 53 Colton Street, San Francisco, CA 94103 Status: Full-Time / Exempt Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 am–4 pm On-call for emergencies Reports to: Site Manager, Senior Site Manager, Regional Property Director REQUIREMENTS High school diploma required. Minimum two years’ experience in residential supportive or affordable housing property management, especially with seniors and families. Valid tax credit certification or ability to attain within six months. Knowledge of property management policies and procedures. At least one year (preferably over two) supervisory experience. Ability to communicate professionally with diverse groups. Strong interest in social justice advocacy. Experience working in Tenderloin District or similar neighborhoods is a plus. Understanding of homelessness and recovery issues. Experience with project-based subsidies or Public Housing Authority programs. Valid California Driver’s License. Valid phone number required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT Employees must sit at a desk, use hands for typing, handle objects, reach with arms, talk, hear, stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must lift up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds occasionally. Vision and hearing abilities as described are required. Work environment is moderately noisy with no unusual conditions.
