Description: InterAgency is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to join our growing environmental practice. The successful candidate will work closely with InterAgency’s Environmental Director, collaborating on environmental initiatives in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. Projects will range from preliminary planning to implementation and include the following: Subsurface infrastructure to mitigate flooding impacts. Large diameter tunnels to remediate combined sewer overflows (CSOs) Redesign of existing sea walls to address sea level rise. Rail and Motor vehicle bridge construction Key Responsibilities: Serve as Environmental Manager for a 5+ year major civil infrastructure project from design through construction. Oversee preparation of environmental documentation, including, but not limited to Environmental Management Plans, NEPA documents, Federal/State/Local permit applications, and contaminated materials management plans. Review plans, submittals and Requests for Information for compliance with environmental approvals and commitments. Manage client relationships while delivering tasks on time and on budget. Assist with the development and negotiation of easements, rights-of-entry, and construction staging area agreements. Facilitate clear communication among the project team and external parties, including federal, state and local regulators. Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams in a hybrid setting.

Education and Experience Requirements: Minimum Requirements: Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Planning, or Natural Resources Management. Experience:10+ years’ experience in environmental consulting, including 5+ years of complex project management. Must have strong knowledge of environmental regulations and federal/state/local permitting requirements.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Planning, or Natural Resources. Experience with preliminary planning and construction-phase processes for large scale infrastructure projects. Experience preparing NEPA documentation and Clean Water Act Section 404/401 permits. Section 7/Section 106 Consultation experience. Alternative project delivery experience (e.g. Design-Build, CMAR) Stormwater and Erosion Training Physical Requirements: · Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodation. · Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Employment Conditions: Type: Full-time, exempt employment Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days in-office/on-site Hours: regular business hours, 8:00 am to 5:00 PM (EST).
