Charitable Advisors & Not-for-Profit News President & CEO, Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana (Fort Wayne & Warsaw, IN) – Fifty-four percent of Americans say they or someone in their immediate family has been diagnosed with cancer at some point. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/cbs-news-poll-majority-of-us-families-touched-by-cancer/. Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana exists so that no one faces cancer alone. Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana seeks an exceptional individual to lead our team of 29 dedicated staff, managing a $2.5 million annual budget. Reporting to an active and engaged board of directors, the President & CEO will build on a strong legacy of direct client support through financial assistance, advocacy, and compassionate care. Our retiring CEO spends approximately 50% of their time cultivating relationships with donors, community partners, and the medical community to ensure financial sustainability—this critical component remains central to success in this role. Serving 5,000 clients each year, the recent expansion into our Warsaw office presents an exciting opportunity to continue to amplify our reach and deepen our impact. Why CSNI? • Experienced staff team that thrives on welcoming and meeting the needs of clients. • We serve everyone: patients, survivors, families, caregivers, and friends. We don’t turn anyone away. • New Warsaw office to better serve the western portion of our service area. • Financial stability. • Desire for continued controlled growth. Core responsibilities include fundraising, leading and mentoring an experienced and high performing staff team, ensuring equitable access to services, supporting strong volunteer engagement strategies, overseeing marketing and communications functions, and providing board support and development. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead an organization that stands at the crossroads of healthcare and individual crisis—empowering individuals and families in their most vulnerable moments and delivering hope when it matters most. We seek a visionary leader energized by both community engagement and strategic stewardship. Success will look like inspiring your team to deliver personalized care and advocacy, while ensuring fiscal resilience and organizational growth. This is an opportunity to lead a compassionate mission with measurable outcomes in a region with substantial need—where every dollar, every connection, and every program impacts an individual and family navigating cancer.
