Overview: Operations Site Manager Interstate Waste Services is a leading provider of solid waste and recycling services, serving Northern New Jersey, Southern New York State, New York City, Connecticut, and Ohio. We cater to residential, industrial, and commercial customers, prioritizing high-quality environmental services with a focus on safety. Job Summary: Highlights: Manage daily operations at one or multiple depots, ensuring safety, quality, and budget goals are met. Monitor and improve operational metrics and processes. Ensure safety compliance with OSHA and company standards; conduct root cause investigations for incidents. Oversee personnel including hiring, coaching, disciplining, training, and performance evaluations. Develop short- and long-term goals in collaboration with the Site Manager and Director of Operations. Participate in financial reviews, manage equipment utilization, maintenance, labor, and material costs. Engage with local agencies to maintain and renew contracts, enhance customer satisfaction, and establish a positive corporate presence. Address employee and labor relations issues. Requirements: Supervisory experience: 5+ years managing teams, including direct and indirect reports. Education: Associate degree or High School Diploma/GED with 2 years relevant experience. Experience: 3+ years in transportation, logistics, or waste operations involving team leadership and coaching. Additional Skills: Experience in operations, customer service, safety programs, budget management, and labor relations. Opportunities: We support career growth through training and development.
