We are seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer and Team Lead in our dynamic and growing Atlanta, GA office (Hybrid role).
Our HVAC Department in Atlanta provides engineering services for the commercial, Mission Critical, and Science & Technology sectors and is involved in exciting, sustainable, and impactful projects. Some of your responsibilities include the following :
Lead the team and oversee the technical development of HVAC systems for large and complex projects in Academic, Commercial, Government, and Mission Critical Sectors.
Develop and manage project designs for high-performance building systems, including air and hydronic distribution, central heating and cooling plants, and building management systems.
Formulate design criteria, perform calculations, develop concept designs, specifications, and construction documents for high-performance building systems.
Supervise and effectively manage technical development throughout all phases of design, ensuring tasks are completed according to company standards and good engineering practices.
Utilize Revit to provide leadership and guidance for the design teams.
Attend field visits, develop visit reports, and meet with contractors as necessary.
Collaborate, communicate, and coordinate with clients and team members.
Essential Skills & Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
Professional Engineering license highly preferred.
Minimum 12+ years of experience designing HVAC systems in high-performance buildings; subject matter expertise in specialized fields is highly preferred.
Experience leading HVAC teams on technically challenging projects in dynamic team environments.
Strong commitment to sustainability; LEED accreditation is a bonus.
Proficiency in design, documentation, and coordination software, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and cloud tools. Working knowledge of Revit / BIM is required.
