In the role of Project Accountant 1, we'll count on you to: Create accurate client invoices in compliance with contract terms and accounting schedule Establish and maintain project budgets and funding based on information included in contract documents provided by Project Managers Work with section and project personnel to provide timely project performance updates as well as research and resolve financial issues Ensure project accounting files reconcile with contract documentation and are in compliance with internal standards Collaborate with Project Managers to document collection activities and resolve outstanding A/R issues Process executed sub consultant agreements into internal purchase orders Review and process sub consultant invoicing against approved budgets Provide backup assistance on processing and coding A/P, time sheets and expense reports Assist multiple project managers and staff on a daily basis Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications 4-Yr Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite Familiarity with Earned Value Management 2 years relevant work experience Preference given to local candidates Required Qualifications Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience Familiarity with Earned Value Management Excellent verbal and written communication including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skills Flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and collaborate with various managers in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented Ability to handle confidential information Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
