in the Financial Lines Claim team. This role focuses on complex, high severity Private and Not-For-Profit D&O, Fiduciary, and Employment Practices Liability claims. The ideal candidate will have at least ten years of relevant experience, preferably in Financial Lines claims, and will manage approximately 100 high severity matters at any given time. The position involves collaborating with internal partners on claim trends, mentoring junior team members, and handling a variety of complex claims responsibilities including coverage determination, investigation, negotiation, and litigation management. Key Responsibilities:
Manage high severity claims, overseeing all aspects from coverage to resolution. Ensure excellent customer service and continuous improvement in claims handling. Verify coverage, manage reserves, and estimate claim valuations. Lead investigations, gather pertinent information, and verify facts. Develop and execute claim resolution strategies, negotiate settlements, and manage litigation. Manage claim budgets and resources effectively. Identify subrogation, salvage, or fraud opportunities. Maintain high quality standards in claims management. Present complex information to senior leadership and stakeholders. Stay current on industry laws, regulations, and trends. Mentor and train less experienced claim professionals. Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate preferred. Minimum of ten years in insurance, with relevant line of business experience. Ability to obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License where applicable. Extensive negotiation and resolution experience. Additional Information:
