General Manager Opportunity At D1 Training D1 is an athletic-based group training facility for adults and youth athletes ages 7 and up, with a mission to provide the best fitness philosophy and facility to its athletes, empowering them to improve themselves by efficiently and consistently reaching their fitness goals. At D1, our promise to our athletes is: "You pick the goal, we help you get there." D1 Coaches are the catalysts for fulfilling this promise. They implement and instill the D1 training philosophy into every workout, adapting and customizing programs to suit each athlete. Coaches take a personal stake in athletes' lives, maintaining regular contact and monitoring progress. They are integral to the success of D1 as it continues its rapid growth. Key skills required for the position include: Sales: Ability to walk in on day one and close over 50% of the leads you meet with. Leadership: Be a proactive leader, holding weekly 1-on-1 and staff meetings, holding staff accountable, and guiding your team to business growth. Must be confident and able to handle pressure. Finance: Ability to manage the facility's P&L, reviewing budgets vs. actuals monthly with ownership. This General Manager can expect: To join a fun team that values working hard and playing hard. To facilitate weekly staff meetings focused on key data points, informing and inspiring the team to take actionable steps. Accountability in financial meetings to an annual budget covering revenue, overhead, COGS, etc. The GM must provide a world-class experience to every person who walks through the door, including interactions with professional athletes. Responsibilities include: Serving as a key contact for members, emphasizing excellent customer experience. Assisting with member progress check-ins. Setting up new memberships in the POS system. Collecting and processing payments. Providing front desk sales and information. Assisting with special events. Managing all sales activities. Qualifications include: Associate Degree. At least 3 years of management experience. Ability to out-sell anyone and a love for sales. Knowledge of gym and retail operations. Positive, energetic personality with a can-do attitude. Willingness to be the first to arrive and last to leave.
