Environmental Investments and Transactions Deal Manager

Lead the origination, structuring, due diligence, negotiation, and execution of investments and transactions to ensure Apple’s business and environmental objectives are met while minimizing risk. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the key barriers to growth in global energy, fuels, and carbon reduction markets, including forecasting industry trends and identifying changes in buyer and seller dynamics. Create conceptual models of investments and transactions to analyze key risk factors and risk sharing among counterparties. Construct financial models of energy and/or carbon reduction project investments, demonstrating strong quantitative skills and ownership of assumptions, accounting, and valuation methodologies. Communicate risk-reward trade-offs clearly to facilitate leadership decision-making. Coordinate with Environmental Policy and Social Initiatives, Environment & Supply Chain Innovation, Global Energy & Sustainability, as well as operations, procurement, finance, government affairs, public relations, tax, and legal teams to champion, drive, and execute investments and transactions. Minimum Qualifications
B.S. degree in a related field; MBA preferred 5-10 years of relevant deal experience in infrastructure, including banking, advisory, infrastructure funds, or independent power production Preferred Qualifications
Proven ability to independently close complex energy, fuels, and/or carbon reduction project investments or transactions as deal lead Experience presenting investments and transactions to executives, including key risks, assumptions, and scenarios Expertise in quantitative modeling, including familiarity with discounted cash flow analysis for infrastructure project financing Experience structuring and closing complex energy, fuels, or carbon reduction infrastructure transactions involving financial engineering, technical innovation, and regulatory compliance across global markets Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple transactions simultaneously through various stages Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building internal and external relationships Proven success in influencing and aligning cross-functional teams and resolving organizational barriers Ability to clearly illustrate technical information to non-technical audiences Strategic and tactical thinking, with adaptability to market conditions Note: The salary range for this role is between $157,200 and $236,700, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
